Small Beginnings

It's Day Two of my Random Legacy Challenge! Lets see what Teya and Deyton are up to! So it's Monday morning and Teya's first day in her new job. Deyton actually gets up early to cook waffles for their breakfast!

Teya is quite surprised because she can't ever remember him saying that he could cook! After a quick shower, Teya returns to the kitchen to see what Deyton has prepared...

Well, she thinks he is sweet for trying and they sit down to eat their blackened waffle mush. Not the best start to the day, but Deyton gives her a warm hug and wishes her luck for the upcoming day!

While Deyton is in the shower, Teya goes out to check the mail. She knows that they only have 402 Simoleons in their shared bank account, so is hoping they won't have to pay any bills yet!

Oh dear!! Looks like they have to pay the first couple day's rent in advance!! Teya huffs and pulls out her checkbook, paying this bill takes their account down to 309 Simoleons! It's a good job she is going to work today to earn some cash!! As Teya takes the newspaper inside, she mentions to Deyton the bill that she has just paid...

His face is hilarious!! He makes no comment, so Teya continues to read the newspaper before she heads out to work. She reads about two local weekly events: Amateur Olympics - the title says, for athletically inclined sims. Well that's out of the picture, maybe Deyton would like it?? There's also an Acrobat show every Monday night at the karaoke bar. Hmmmm, she doesn't know what time she will be finishing tonight so maybe next week. Once she has read these articles she realises, it's time to go to work!!

She says goodbye to Deyton and jumps into her hand-me-down car. What a banger! It takes her a while to find the address because she hasn't driven around the city yet, but she eventually pulls up to a huge warehouse.

What a strange place to work! She thinks as she heads toward the entrance. She is a little scared about meeting lots of new people today, but she really needs the money. So she takes a deep breath and enters the warehouse. Teya intends on meeting the cast members at work today.

Meanwhile back at home, Deyton is struggling to get motivated to even get out of his pj's today! Then a really interesting show starts about Bigfoot and he just can't pull himself away from the TV...

So, six hours later Teya has finished work! She has met her new boss Reuben Littler and another colleague called Alan Stanley who is the script writer. She makes a note to herself to befriend all of her co-workers, she is a social butterfly after all!

When Teya arrives home she tells Deyton that she has earned 126 Simoleons today, taking their bank up to $435. She notices that he is still in his Pj bottoms from this morning and deduces that he hasn't even left the house today!!

During their tea, she asks Deyton what he actually did with his day and he replies "research". She doesn't want to sound like a nagging girlfriend, so she lets it slide and they eat their tea while Teya recounts her first day as a Background extra!

After their meal, they sit down to watch a bit of TV before bed and Teya is annoyed that Deyton hasn't done the dishes. She has been at work all day and he can't even get off his lazy ass to go and wash up! Oh well she thinks, it is their first time living together and it might take a while for them both to get used to it.

Teya feels a bit better about her day when they finally snuggle up in bed together, this is what she always wanted. Just her and Deyton living alone and making a life together...
